What is needed to change from the 1991 Q rotors and calipers to the 300ZX rotors and calipers?

Are there any modifications that need to be made, e.g., 16" rims?

Thanks in advance.

Should just be 16" rims, the rest bolts up. You'll need to jumper your sensor wires, as the pads don't have the sensor in them.

The 300zxtt rotor is the same diameter as Q just 2mm thicker but weighs the same, so don't expect much other than better attack [less delay] and maybe a little less warping........the rotor temperature will be the same in the same stop with either.

The tt had air deflectors mounted on tension rods to direct air and bent rear dust covers to accept the air.............you really need heavier rotors to accomplish much and larger diameter than 11.8" to have more gripping force [the multiplying efffect of the torque arm length....center of pad to the center of wheel/hub distance. A 13" rotor 13/11.8=110%.......10% more ft/lbs of stopping power.......for same pedal pressure.

wouldnt the extra pistons help by providing greater mechanical advantage to the mater cyinder, even though the rotor diameter is unchanged?

even thought your maintaining the same leverage of the rotors to the wheels, the master cylinder can provide equal pad pressure due to the greater surface area of the pistons at a lower pedal pressure.

albiet, the pedal stroke distance will increase due to the greater volume of fluid being moved.
