I need to replace my stock tires on my G35...it has the 19" rims. I'd like to go wider, as long as performance won't be hurt...I'm looking for more grip for the rear.

I'm also looking for pics of aftermarket tires on stock rims...any would help!!

My stock sizes are:

225/40-19 front245/40-19 rear

I was thinking of going:

245/35-19 front275/35-19 rear

opinions??

Those tires seem too wide for the stock 8/8.5" wheels. If you really want wider tires, you should go for some new wider wheels.

You could prolly go slightly wider than stock on the stock wheels (maybe 235 and 255), but 275 is a lot of tire for a 8.5" wheel.

The stock rear size is 245...you don't think I could go an additional 30mm on an 8.5" rim?

i wouldnt go more than one size up on stock wheels. Like hannibal said...235 and 245...keep the 40 profile. On 35 profile very likely to bend the wheel. Also if you want more traction you would be better off getting a higher traction rating and quality tire. Like a BfG KDW. You run into safety issues when you go too wide of a tire on a certain size rim.
