I'm pretty much a car noob but I know upgrading the throttle body can mean more power. I have an Injen cold air intake and the stock ka24e throttle body.

I was wondering where to start when upgrading the tb (where to get a better one, what kind to get, what all i will need, will it bolt right up)

I've searched a bit and I read you can use the ka24de tb on the ka, will this be significant? I'm on a budget so I'm doing simple mods. Will I need better fuel injectors too?

Thanks

Probably not going to see much improvement on an otherwise stock engine, though I'm a DOHC guy, so I don't know whats on the SOHC. You would not need new injectors until you start doing a lot more than bolt-ons.

I would say for a cheep way for upgrading your throttle body is take a drimle to it. Drimle about half of it from the top and doing less and less as you get lower.

who cares if people look down on ebay items..if they work..then there good in my book..i sport alot of ebay s*** in my car..for good reasons..#1, if they break or get destroyed ..there cheep to replace..if your into racing in any form..its expencive...if an item does the same exact thing as a name brand item..why pay the difference..ahhhmen

I still say to make a little more hp without having to spend much or no money and resetting whatever is to drimle it.

Dont upgrade your TB or your injectors if your stock. Dont really bother doing much of anything but suspension, weight reduction, maintenance, ect if your not going to turbo it, or save the money for turbo. The N/A KA has the worst power to dollar ratio for modification of any modern motor that i know of(sub100k lol).

The ones I can think of are exhuast, headers, pulleys, 1-piece aluminum driveshaft, msd blaster coil and e-fans. I thought I would be fine with the bolt ons I got but then I got to drive my friends KA-T.....

And the great thing about bolt-ons is if you ever want to go turbo, then your about half way there
