Just picked up a '76 280z and I'm looking to just completely upgrade most (if not all) the gauges in the car since most of them are kinds of spazzy and sometimes works.

The car is still running the original motor. It still has the 4 speed, but its going to be swapped with a new 5speed in the next few days.

I've been looking around online but I'm not sure what would be the most compatible. In terms of internal electrical components, I really want to bring them into them in to the new century, but without having to modify the style of the dash.

Tips and points in brands or products to look out for would be much appreciated.

there are no easy answers fo rthe guages, you can use afternmarket tacha nd sppeo, they fit the holes but you have to fab mounts adapt them tot he trim bezels and you loose your bright indicator and turn signal indicators unless you alter the aftermarket tach internally whch has been done, wiring the tach is simple, the speedo I have no idea, if your stock speedo bounces it's likely the cable, if your tach bounces it's a wiring issue

the tripple guages int he center, are double guages which you can find but they are stupid expensive and rare, as in $300 each, and evne then they do nto work with our senders, so you have to adapte their senders to your engine adn gas tank

honestly you are better off keeping the stock guages and replacing the wiring
