Easy stuff to instal, cold air intake, exhaust, carbon fiber hood (for weight), bigger tires help you stick to the road, aluminum driveshaft, aluminum flywheel for quicker revs

Look above for the search button and look to the left for NICO's advertisers. Many of those cars you should beat stock.AEM or Injen intake. Hotshot header. ASP crank pulley. Some sort of exhaust. Fidanza flywheel. Gutted interior. If you have an S14, 91-93 KA cams have a bit of an increase. Forgive me if Im wrong... but S14 cams are 232/232 and S13 cams are 240/248. I think thats right. So you have alot of options with that. You can even put two S13 exhaust cams in to make it 248/248, but thatll take more work. You have alot of basic things you can do to your car.

yeah you should be able to take civics, tho i guess it depends on what they have. i raced a civic si maybe 5 times from all different speeds, and walked him every time. tho with a few upgrades he could have taken me. i wouldnt waste $300+ on a hood that might shave 30lbs off the front end. the driveshaft and flywheel are nice upgrades. a search should give you a huge amount of ideas, take a look at the ka forum.

I dunno if you get serious about power later on and going forced induction, you might wanna try and offset the added weight of the turbo/intercooler and other parts.. ^_^

besides the usual moving the battery to the trunk...

or just get a smaller, lighter battery...Optima comes to mind...save you the trouble of moving everything to the trunk and stuff.

also, Nissan Altima KA cams will give about 10 HP (why didnt Nissan put them in there in the first place???) header, intake, exhaust like all others said...pulley also. Altimas dyno about 120 to the wheels stock (5 speed) and with intake/header/exhaust get to about 145 to the wheels. a good 25 HP increase. and yes, there is dyno proof...Altimas.net, search for them. :)

lightweight wheels also...cant forget about unsprung weight...
