Hey guys, I'm thinking of upgrading my head unit from the stock on my 03 Altima. What I would like to do is put in one of these double units with the nice big screen and touch interface, like the Pioneer AVH-3200BT. The only thing is I've never done this before and I'm not totally sure what I need to buy. I'm not looking to upgrade the speakers right now, just the head unit. Would a double unit like this fit in my car? What else would I need to buy to mount it? The Altima has that weird rounded trim around the radio, so I would assume I'd need a bracket to fit in there to make it all fit.

Thank for the help guys, looking forward to upgrading.

does the 03 come with the option for the bose double din unit?

if it does and you have the single unit with manual controls I've heard some people use the OEM double din plate from bose w/ manual ac controls and it fits mostly with aftermarket units

but I've only seen it on newer models attemped

I'm not quite sure why you are talking about the AC controls, those are way below the stereo and aren't connected in any way to it. And yes, they are manual.
