I've got some cash to blow and am finally going to be upgrading from that AWESOME stock suspension on the s13...yeah, feel the sarcasm.

Anyway, the stock has a little to much body roll for me, and is worn out. I use the car for a daily driver (though I couldn't care much of how stiff or soft the ride is), and the occasional drifting evening, nothing extremely competitive. I want something that has less floating/body roll and provides good enough stability when I go to drift. I haven't enough money, nor a real need for coilovers with the dampening option, just something that does a decent job. I don't know a real lot about suspension, so I'm very open to reccomendations?

::update # 2:: turns out they're kyb gr2's and tein s techs, all brand new, same 200 bucks. Hows it sound? has anyone tried this out before?

That's a very good set up. And that is a very good price. make sure the shocks aren't blown though. Are they used? It sounds almost too good to be true.

I don't think they're blown, is there a way to check them prior to putting them on the car? I'm not sure what type of springs they are. Is one more desired than the other?

ive also heard that sportlines with the agx setup dont last long at all, just because of how low and how much strain on the struts they cause over other springs.

I hope there isn't anything wrong with them. I just gave the seller a phone call to see to verify everything, still sleeping...losers. A friend of his says the springs might be tein, how do those hold up with the kybs?. Which, again I'm unsure of the model of tien.

Kamikaze- who makes the s tech?

::UPDATE:: I've found a set of kyb agx's and eibach springs locally for 200 bucks. Is this a decent set up?
I used to have Tokico blues with Eibach sportlines. Excellent daily driver setup but a bit too soft for drifting. If you are an occasional drifter don’t limit yourself. I would consider a set of TEIN HE’s for $1100-1200. Why? Because they can be set up for comfortable daily driving and they are an excellent set of coilovers for the money. If you get more into drifting you will have the peace of mind that you have a good setup. Then again I'm just giving a humble opinion. Just my 2 cents...Good luck!

s techs are made by tein.

i had eibach springs with stock shocks but they were a bit soft, so i got myself tein and kybs and my car has like no body roll now.

i dont regret getting them. but if i HAD the money i would have gotten the HEs, but they were too pricey for my wallet.

Yeah, coil overs are a little to much for the wallet right now. Thanks for the advice s14srpolit! I drove an s14 with HEs and was very impressed, but like I said, they're a little to unattainable.

Turns out upon looking at the shocks, they're kyb gr2's, and the s tech springs(thanks for clearing that up) All components are brand new, never used, for the same 200 bucks. How does everyone feel about this set up?

IIRC, Structure240 told me he blew a gr2 on eibach's. I would feel better knowing I had Tein on, personally.

The GR-2's are pretty much stock replacement shocks, depending on how low and stiff the springs are I wouldnt expects the shocks to last to long. Plus with basically stock replacement shocks the ride will be bouncy with a stiffer spring. I have prokits and AGX's and its a great DD setup, iI just wish itd drop another inch or so.

gr2s are meant to go with your stock springs. and its only a little bit stiffer than the stock ones. if you use lowering springs with gr2s, you are shortening the life of the shocks. so you will end up spending the same amnt of money as getting the AGX.

Cool, thanks for the input. It seems as though these aren't all they're cracked up to be so I'll wait until I can buy something a little more quality and enjoyable. Thanks a real lot to everyone who gave advice and their set ups, it is GREATLY appreciated. Wish the best to you all, thanks again!
