I got a 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5 S about 8 months ago. It's Crimson black and looks great. I plastidipped the stock rims, but getting 18" XXR 530 in about 2 weeks. I also put in some subs. With the help of my friend, we put 2 10" DD audio subs with a custom ported box in the trunk. Unfortunately the box is so big i have no trunk space. I really don't mind because i love the sub so much. It is powered by a 1200 watt Hifonics Zeus. The next thing on my list is to get an after market radio. I should have it rite after I buy the XXRs. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kenwood-6-1 ... Id=7501209 is the radio im buying. I already bought the DOUBLE DIN kit. After the Radio i'm thinking of getting new speakers. Any suggestions on which ones to get? Is there anything else i can do to make the best quality sound system possible?

Welcome, SzymonC. I also have a '10 coupe 2.5 that I got about 8-9 months ago. Mine's ocean grey. I always liked Polk speakers. I have them in my home & my altimas, the coupe & an '01 GXE sedan. The coupe only has a/m rears so far 'til I figure out how to do the door speakers. They are db521's @ about $100/pr. from Crutchfield. I have a Kenwood under-seat powered sub KSC-SW11 in each car(I need the trunk space). For 150watts, it's not bad. I also put foam baffles on those rears. It really helps direct sound from the trunk. There's also sound-deadening material (DynaMat) to line body panels. I guess it works, but I never used it. Good luck & keep us posted.

Do you recommend those rear speakers? 100$ for both of them isn't bad and i might get them. I heard that there are many different speakers that sound different and i would like to know which ones are the best to get installed in the back. did u decide which door speakers you are going to get? i need some help choosing the best ones.. lol im a noob at speakers. i heard theres many different kinds with tweeters or someshyt? explain if u can. and also what do you mean a/m rear?? how does that sub sound? It is like a sealed enclosure ? cause i know theres a big diffreence between sealed and ported boxes. i like mine because it hit the really low bass very nice. what do you mean foam baffles? where did u get that? if u can get back to me with replies i would greatly appreciate it.

Almost all speakers are sold in pairs. $100 is low mid-range price. They go from like $30 to $500-600 or more. 2-way speakers have the tweeter & woofer combined. Component speakers come with separate woofers & tweeters plus separate crossover units. They're not much more expensive, but more work to install. You can't just swap out stock. a/m (or AM, A/M) means after-market. I listen to LOUD hard rock, heavy metal, & alternative, & the Polks are fine for that. I'll probably get matching door speakers. I'm not even sure of the size, but the series comes in 3 1/2", 4", 5", 6", 4x6" & 5x7", in addition to the 5 1/4's. My sub is enclosed, has it's own amp, & plugs into a harness under the passenger seat(but you can put it anywhere). It come with a wired remote you can keep in the console or stick on the dash that adjusts the phase & frequency of the bass. Also you can get a second set of wiring & take it back & forth from another vehicle. It more than handles it within the cabin for me & my passengers, but if you want people in the houses you pass by to hear the bass, you'd be disappointed. I swapped out my stock radio for a Nakamichi 6disc changer. Foam baffles are molded plastic pieces that fit on back of the speakers, keeping them clean & dry, and helping to direct the sound forward. They cost less than $10/pr. Whew. Hope that answers your questions. I highly recommend visiting Crutchfield.com or other audio product sites to research for complete explanations, specs(specifications), & prices. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Hybrid Audio Technologies... once you own anything from them you will never ever own any other brand of speaker. I highly recommend running an amplifier to whatever speakers you buy. An amplifier on the stock speakers is actually a better upgrade than simply swapping out for new speakers. The dismal power in the Kenwood head unit... 22 watts RMS x4, is a far cry from even a small 50 watts RMS x 4 aftermarket amplifier. Along with the increase in power, the aftermarket amplifier will have much better everything... power supply, capacitance, dampening factor, THD etc.

Couldn't agree more. If you install a 4 channel amp and head unit. you can get your stock speakers sounding pretty good!

To the OP.. I have owned MANY different speaker systems... two ways, three ways, components, composites, extra midbasses, subbass for midbass, you name it... And I've listed to everything from your typical speakers (infinity, pioneer, alpine) to speakers that people THINK is high quality (Polk, German-made MB Quartz, BOSE, Boston Acoustics, Diamond) to really nice speaker systems (Hertz, Dynaudio, Morel, Scanspeak, Focal, Rainbow, Hybrid Audio Technology)

HANDS down, the best bang for your buck from OEM replacement to super high fidelity is Hybrid Audio... by a long, long, long, long shot... Its not that the other companies in its category aren't fantastic speakers, but the prices can be laughable, i.e. Dynaudio Esotar Tweeters cost $800 EACH, $1600 for the set. The comparable Hybrid Audio Stage 6 tweeters are the Legatia L1 pro Ring Radiator tweters which cost <$600 for the pair.

Look up any of the last 100 IASCA competitions around the world, and check and see what the majority of top competitors and winners are running. Hybrid Audio technologies! Again, across the board, for every budget, HAT makes drivers superior to the competition. PM me if you want to talk more, but you would really be doing yourself a disservce by not ordering Hybrid Audio technology speakers for your speaker system upgrade.

**NOTE** I am not sponosored by HAT, I do not sell HAT, I get no comission in any way for this, but they really are that good. And like Broadfield said.. I would never put any other brand in any of my vehicles again!

PM either me or Broadfield. I can tell you about the products, but broadfield can tell you more, and he sells them. He's the one that put me onto hybrid audio in the first place...

www.hybrid-audio.com
http://store.12velectronics.com/categor ... hnologies/

factory replacement for the 2010 Altima coupe are:

3.5" x 3 in the dash
6.5" x 2 in the doors
3.5" x 2 tweeters in the rear deck
6" x 9" midbass/subbass in the rear deck.

those are just the speaker sizes, but you will want to do something a little different if you replace them.. i.e. go with a component setup for your front stage to replace the 3.5" and 6.5" with 1" tweeters and 6.5" midbass/midrange.

For a budget friendly setup, without a seperate sound processor:
Mirus 6.5" coaxials up front $169
Mirus 6"x9" full raneg in the rear $199
Imagine 10" subwoofer $269

5 channel Amplifier options:
Rockford R600x5 $399
JL Audio 500x5 $499
Alpine MVRX-V70 $270

So you could do all of this for about $1000, then you would have to just get someone to install it all...

again, you can go cheaper on the speakers by going with other companies (Infinity, prioneer, alpine, etc.) and save money, but I can't in good faith recommend anyone to use speakers other than hybrid audio. Another option , you could probable get away with some cheaper rear speakers and subwoofers, but be sure at minimum that your front stage is a hybrid audio technologies product!!!!!

hope this helps.. PM for my number so that we can chat about everything! good luck!
