Upgrading interior lights (2006->2008)

so yeah, amber gauges, not good.
but has anyone attempted swapping the gauge cluster between a 2006 and 2008? possibly with some programming assistance from an infiniti dealer? maybe even swapping the gauge cluster + center stack?
alternatively, replacing the actual LEDs within the guages and dash etc. however i suspect that'll be a massive pain in the a** due to soldered (surface soldered, at that) LEDs

also, if possible, can anyone upload a picture of their 2008+ M interior at night?
oddly, i cant find any images on google or videos on youtube of the M at night, so im not sure what all lights up in the interior

hah, figures searching the forum brings up a lot, while searching google itself brings up nothing
anyway. gauges are a straight swap without even reprogramming. see post number 9

the control panel under the nav screen is not, apparently its not exactly the same and some functions no longer work after swapping

so it ends up being an issue of swapping surface mount solder LEDs, yuck
