Original Unit specs... Not Good

I would buy a pioneer for your application... pioneer probably makes the most (in volume) inexpensive cd players because of their contracts with Walmart, Crutchfield, Best Buy, and other huge conglomerate chains. If you want to have the pocket underneath the headunit, then get it... if not then you would just have a hole underneath. The cd player is installed in a configuration called iso mount. You will use the factory plates in the vehicle to mount your new cd player.

Good luck!

I have a pocket under the head unit as it is now. The stereo takes up half the space/the pocket takes up the other half. I thought maybe the aftermarket unit was taller(over the half) then the factory unit and the pocket thats in there would have to be cut down to fit. Most likely, since i can get a 20% discount at circuit city, thats where i'm going. Pioneer have the best bang 4 the buck??? Any models come to mind??? deh-1500,2500,3500???I was looking at jvc, sony, kenwood ,panasonic, and pioneer

no sony. jvc is decent, panasonic i dont have much experience with their entry level stuff. As far as what cd player in the pioneer line, whatever you can afford is the best option. i would also consider jvc, but if you get a killer deal on any of them... that is a bonus. more options for less is a good thing
