ok guys i need some help, if you dont mind...i am going to be up grading from a t25 stock turbo to a t28 of the s14 turbo. do i need to do any modifications? i am pretty sure it should bolt right up, correct? i am also moving to a fmic, so i was wondering what i should boost the t28 at in order to be safe. i dont want to go blowing my motor. oh and i had something else on my mind, if i boost the t25 @ 10psi and the t28@10psi do they put outthe same power? or will the t28 put out more power because its bigger? thanks, joe...

when you have a bigger turbo at the same psi as a smaller turbo of course you will have more power. even though the s14 t28 is only slightly bigger you will have more power that is if the condition of it is good. and going to a s14 t28 wont require any modification at all. it will bolt right up to your 02 dump and turbo manifold and the intercooler plumbing will even be the same. you can even stay on the stock tune and stock injectors. and oh ya if you stay on the stock injectors i wouldnt boost over 13psi because you will start leaning out around there..if you upgrade to even 480s than i would boost to no more than probably 15psi max because thats about the s14 t28's efficiency range

im also gonna go with the same set-up but, its gonna be the gtir t28 will everything bolt up also?? So the s15 440cc injectors wont be able to handle 14 lbs of boost? Sorry not trying to jack your thread i figured i would ask here and not waste time creating a new same thread.

joeseph as far as your questions are concerned you dont need to worry about the block boost/ psi wise but HP wise..the block is good for atleast 500hp and your not gonna make 500hp on a t28 so you dont need to worry about that..the only thing you need worry about blowing is your HG but ive rarely seen or heard of those on the sr's blowing under boost at anything under 20 and you wont be putting out over 20 or anywhere close to under 20 on a s14 t28 so your ok there too..the only thing you need to worry about is leaning out on stock injectors so if you stay on the stock 370's dont boost over 13psi and yes the oil and coolant lines are perfectly fine....and oh ya i dont think its worth it to upgrade to that turbo minimum upgrade i'd do is a s15 t28

....now drftsx...the gtir t28 needs to be clocked IIRC and yes the s15 stock 480cc injectors can hold 14psi just fine with a perfect a/f ratio still..but your gonna have to search just type in gtir t28 and choose rwd sr section and you'll find everything you need to know
