I'm in the market for exhaust but first I want to hear what some different systems sound like on a stock ka. Can you guys help me out? I think I want to go for something quiet, but makes the engine's displacement sound huge at high revs.

I think BRM would suit your needs just fine. Good luck trying to find a sounc clip of it though. I have been trying to hear it since I first heard about it.

uh there are sound clips/pictures/video in the BRM stickiu on this thread. pg.7 i think...between 7-10.

I have a BRM dual-tip exhaust with a 22" resonator. its the most awsome exhust i have ever heard. Even with the resonator, the exhaust is loud at WOT but is quiet at idle. And its not a annoying-type exhaust, its has a very deep throaty noise that u rarely here if not at all on other cars.

I have the BRM 2.5" aluminized w/ the 22" resonator single cannister w/ OBX header and gutted cat...mine is a lil louder than expected but as stated before the BRM does have an excellent growl it's not a ricey sound at all...At idle it is very quiet but WOT it's on!! Ricers eyeball my ride all the time wondering what i have im sure... I would reccomend BRM definetly!

Hmm, nice sound. What sizes do they have again? Also how much would the TI one cost?

does anyone else hear a flutter in the 2nd vid at w1ngzer0's link? It sounds like it comes in at about 52k revs.

Thanks for the kind words, DOOm and Zyphar.

We really pride our systems on sound.

Oh... I love the sound don't get me wrong. No offense there. I was just wondering what could be the cause of that flutter.

Sounds to me like he either shifts or lifts off the throttle momentarily.

Hard to hear on my laptop (crappy speakers).

p.s. 52K rpm in a 240sx would DEFINITELY cause more than a flutter, LOL. Ka-boom!

I sometimes get the same kind of flutter at high RPM, though I dont have a BRM exhaust (yet). I've always thought it was my timing chain

Sounds excellent, similar to my apex'i n1 cat-back exhaust....Wish I could record it for you but I have no means to..

Hey guys, didn't mean to leave this post but I was in Detroit all weekend. Lol, I never realized I had actually typed 52000 rpm's. Thanks for everyone's help and I'm gonna definately going BRM for exhaust when I get my funds back up.
