the AR's are like 2x what the stock T25 are. Just because it's a T25 dosn't mean it's even remotely the same size as the stock turbo. I've got a GT25R on my SR right now and that turbo uses a TS04 compressor housing.

SR life is good I guess, a bit more torque than my CA but dosn't rev nearly as high. Guess that's why they call the SR the 'truck motor' in australia.

I just sit in my drivers seat mashing the gears making turbo noises as I go along.... :)

BTW.... what is the A/R on those? The T25 on my CA says .48 intake and .49 exhaust. I am thinking of upgrading to the SR T25 if I can't find a reasonably priced T28.

Any play in the shaft?

well it was on my motor when I got it, so that's like 30,000ish. Then I drove it for allmost 2 whole weeks before I took it off for the bigger turbo.

well lets see the story of the slut motor and turbo........

once upon a time paul and his friend rock , or was it ray?built this beefy CA, wait paul it came off your motor the one that blew up shortyly after starting it right? then the other guy put it on his motor , then it was sold to adam in columbus and i bought it and my FMIC for 1000$ off him, then the motor went to brian, from brian to nathan , now i think its goin back to flordia, where the whole thing started maybe i should sent this turbo around the way too!

yea that was Rock's old motor and my turbo (which I never even ran). Just trying to figure out if it was a good or bad slut hehe. My 60-1 was a lazy slut of a turbo because it lagged like you couldn't imagine (but when she came online boy could she blow).

The GT25R is going to cost you around 1100ish from my buddy at Cardinal performance. Let me know if any of you are interested and I'll get Chip to give you a call.

Paul

PSthanks for the update on Rock's whore of a motor (that thing's been passed around more than a 12 year old at a MaBLA convention)

Mine came on around 4000ish rpm, but when it did the tires broke loose and the street lights and cars went the opposite way a little bit faster than I did:D.

I was running at 15psi, but remember, i was using a stock manifold with a T3 flange welded to it.

i don't know how well the stock manifolds flow... so yeah... how soon do you think you could get 20psi w/ a better mani?

Both cars will have new manifolds. The stock manifold with the T3 flange works, but loses effectiveness above 14psi.
