upgraded to an electric fan, did i miss something?

My friend is parting out his 68 camero, and asked if i wanted the 16 in aftermarket electric fan off it. i jumped all over it, considering he only put like 1000 miles on the car, and he only wanted 20 bucks for it...score.

headed down to Advance Autoparts, picked up an electric thermostat kit for an aftermarket fan...came with everything, probe, harness, relay, wires..another 20 bucks...

i had the thing installed in about an hour. I dont know what people are talking about cuz a 16 incher fits PERFECTLY on the stock radiator.

ive just spent the last 6 hours trying to figure out whats wrong with it. the fan will not turn on! ive checked my connections 4 times, and rewired the entire harness twice!

there are six wires coming off the relay

red=constant 12v from battery(check, its going straight to the positive terminal)

yellow=12v ignition on power ( i hooked it into my cig lighter, and checked the fuse, and used my multi-meter to test for power. it has no power when the car is off/power with the car on)

black=going to a freshly drilled chassis ground

orange with an inline 25a fuse=power to the new fan=(the fan had two wires , a blue and a black, i chose the blue)

brown=probe ( its a bi metal click type probe. the ignition source(yellow) runs through the probe, resistance gos up with the heat until the probe clicks closed sending current through the brown wire back to the relay)

green=factory ac fan ( power from stock ac to turn in the fan when the ac is on. two wires to choose from, black and blue, i chose blue again)

the factory ac fan black wire i returned to a chassis ground, as well as the black wire left over on the new fan.

the car is not overheating, but i dont see the new fan working, and it DOES not work when i turn on the ac....

im stumped
