Like most of us I am experiencing hazed and yellow headlights. I am looking for a way to replace just the clear cover for the headlights. But I don't think there is a way to do it. So I have been told I need to replace the entire headlight assembly. Is this true? If it is true, is there a new style out there somewhwere? I have the headlight that move with the stearing wheel and would like to keep that feature, but would like to add either halo's or LED's to it as well. Any help would be apprecieated. I have an 07 M35X.

There was a guy on here who supposedly had a 'connect' to get just the lens, but I shut his thread down because he offered almost no information so I couldn't vouch for his information. You can probably find him on the M facebook group if you post up there...or maybe he's still floating around here.

You may have already done this, but if not I recommend it VERY highly.
There are gobs of products out there to clean headlamp lenses. The only one that worked great for me was the 3M restore product. You will need an electric drill (battery ones do not work as well). The kit is around $40 I believe, but it has everything you need. I did it about a year ago and my lenses are still like new. It's worth a try.

There are companies that make halos, etc. To install them, you have to dismantle the front of the car to remove the headlamp unit, then bake the unit in the oven, pry the lenses off, and install the halos. Then, you have to re-bake and re-apply the glue-type substance that holds the lenses on, hoping to baby Jebis that you don't end up with a teeny air leak that will cause condensation to collect inside the headlamp. I like halos, but that seems a bit too much work and risk just for a "neat" look. It may be easier to do halos around the fog lamp assembly. I think there is a DIY on that in here.

If you decide to do this, please take pics of the steps and make a DIY so we can add it to the mods list in the FAQ section. Good Luck!

Well that's partially because I shut that thread down due to it having no information other than 'contact me to get more info on my supplier'...but he is on FB and you're right, I never saw the connect go through with it there either.
