Does anyone make an upgraded oil pan for the KA24DE? IE something with larger capacity and baffles, like the Greddy one for the SR. I've done a lot of searching and found nothing...:(

Thanks everyone...

I dont think there is a production baffled type oil pan for ka at the moment. You can always build your own using stock pan as a start, baffling and enlarging capacity.

Fully cast dry sump oil pans are available for ka though.

I dont think there is enough demand for a company to make these pans...

How hard would it be to make a crank scaper and put a windage tray in a stock oil pan? It seems like you could maybe modify a kit for a V8 chevy or something for the windage tray since they are both 4 cylinders long. I've thought about this as well because a upgraded oil pan is a win/win situation. Improved power, oil pressure, lower oil temps., less chance of starving on hard accel/brake or lateral, ect. Why doesn't Nissan just make them that way....

cost.

think about it, baffled/finned(heat fin) oil pans cost money to make, and on a production scale, unless the demand for such a 'trivial' item is served, it wont make production.

think about how many people look at a car and go "does that have a baffled and finned oil pan?" or "does that car have a finned differential cover, so th LSD(if it has one) doesnt overheat as easy?!?!"

I doubt it.but otherwise, I was thinking of buying a stock oil pan, measuring the dimensions, etc and seeing if a local fabrication/metal place could make one that was maybe 1qt extra capacity, baffled and finned...maybe out of alluminum.-chet
