this sh*t is making me paranoid. i was just about to buy the deatschwerks 740cc's. but i figured id do a quick couple of searches. alot of people say bad things about them. lowered life expectancy due to being 'used'. poor spray patterns... all that kind of stuff. though it looks like most RB guys ive found posts for, are using them.

i checked out PE injectors. but they dont have anything comparable to 740's. and they're quite a bit more expensive.

this is probably the last major decision i need to make before the car goes under the knife. its probably not that big of a deal. lol, but i just dont like thinking i could have made a bad decision.

thanks. hopefully the next thread you see me make will have dyno graphs.

Save for some denso injectors. Better safe than sorry. Sard sells the denso's and the drop in ones are $650 shipped new. My friend got some for $450 used on ebay ftw.

I bought the 650cc deatschwerks so I'm sure you'll hear about it if I have problems tuning with them. I'm not expecting any trouble though.

PTE is what the supra guys love. They are denso's as well. Very reasonable on ebay. If I didn't have such a reasonable deal worked out with deatchwerks I would have gone that way.

I used deatschwerks on my SRT-4 and never had problems with them or with tuning. I also got them used from someone else.

From what I hear, you don't run into too much trouble until you start raising base fuel pressure by quite a bit.

i guess im just a skeptic. ive run into so many issues with this car over the past 3 years. i'd like to just get something i wont ever have to worry about.

that being said.phase2 sells the PE 850's. i feel like thats way too big. what do you think?? walbro 255, AEM fpr, AEM ems. can they be tuned to idle correctly? duty cycle wouldnt be even close to being maxed out. i guess im asking, is having a really low duty cycle a bad thing? any negatives?

850s will be difficult to tune since injector lag comes into significant play with larger injectors. Don't worry about getting deatchs. If you keep them in the duty and pressure range that they are designed for, you should be fine. Plus, they will be easier to tune with. And if something goes wrong, it will just be consistent with things going wrong all the time.

Stick with denso or jecs...

With any part you buy it, you really shouldn't consider the few that haven't had problems, but the people that did have problems. Deatchwerks as well as any other injector remanufacturing companies have horrible track records. This includes my own personal experience.

I have yet to see a single jecs or denso injector fail or perform up to my expectations at least within the first 10,000 miles or so. As for redrilled injectors I would say 70% have either failed or haven't flowed up to its supposed flow rating. Not only will you have to buy new injectors, you risk spending more money to retune or in a worse case scenario detonate and have to rebuild your motor.

And even for the few sets that do seem to work out, it still doesn't change the fact that they have horrible spray patterns. This impedes fuel atomization which essentially comes down to you not making the power you want as well as having horrible gas mileage.

There are so many other areas you could reasonably cheap out on to save money, but when it comes to fueling, don't risk it!!!

so, any sard/denso side feed will fit? thats my concern. if it doesnt say RB25, im nervous about buying. do they generally come with the connectors and o-rings??
