upgraded headgasket question

im looking for a head gasket that is a stock size for a sr20det redtop but THICKER...anyone know and good places to look....the only head gaskets i can find are OEM and headgaskets that are bored over...sr20 stock bore is 86mm right? i can only find 87mm bore and 88mm bore...let me know thanks

No doubt, or you made a typo. You said you want a stock bore headgasket, but thicker right? Yes 86mm is the stock bore, and stroke aswell. But you "can only find 87mm and 86mm gaskets"? So why are you asking? Unless, you meant 87mm & 88mm? If that's the case, edit your post.

I you want an 86mm headgasket, try APEX'i. They have 4 thicknesses for stock bore.

According to that phase2 link it says you can use the bigger bore hg. Anyone have any info on this? Can you use the 88mm hg on stock bore?

I trust Phase 2 info over Heavy Throttle anyday. Ive had bad dealings with HT that makes me not trust them. Others in that thread say its .8mm also so ill go with them.
