well this past sat, i got my new 300zx tt fuel pump in. now according to the faq in the installs section of NICO, they recommend changing the fuel pump fuse to a fuse with a 5 amp higher rating. (i think 20 amp then). is this necessary? not that a fuse is alot of money but i just wanted to know for sure if this is a must? also obviously i need to upgrade my fuel filter to the 300zx one also but is it ok to drive around without it until i do get it? what do you guys think?

It takes about 30-40 seconds to change a fuse, I suggest you do it if it says it in the faq. If you are turbo already you should change the filter aswell, odds are you havent changed yours in a while anyways so it would be nice, if you not turbo i guess you can hold off until then.

still stock fpr since im goin with 370cc injectors. i hear its a pain to set up an fpr on the stock rail.

i guess ill go look for/get a 20 amp fuse. and as for the filter, ill go get it on wed. i suppose. hopefully the dealership near me stocks em

well i got the fuse in today as well as the new fuel filter. for anyone that doesnt know about changing the fuel filter, the top line is a PITA. i got the bottom off in about one minute and i struggled with the top one for about half an hour. maybe i didnt take my ginseng or maybe it was due to me trying to take off the top line while leaving the bottom one on. Case in point, take off the bottom one first and yank the top one off. hopefully this will help out the next individual.

any way to check your fuel pressure? ive read that the z32tt pump can outflow the stock fpr. not sure how true that is, but i figured id pass that along to you.

it does flow more than 255lph right?

im not sure that it flows more than the walbro but it is good for at least 500hp. ive seen this pump being used on at least a dozen supras, 300zx, etc. that are putting down that kind of power. i myself will only be aiming for around 280-300 whp but when u can use oem parts go for it. the pump ran me around 220 thru pinnacle or midway parts but u gotta pay to play. numerous peeps have had success with the walbro tho so if ur on the budget, 100 bux for the walbro is ur best bet.
