upgraded ecu causes car to run rich

Hey guys so I just got an upgraded eprom from z1. I put it in the other day and now the car is running rich. Is this normal? you can clearly smell the fuel at an idle

I thought you had to tune it after that kinda stuff

I didn't think so. I thought that was the whole point in buying the chip so that its already tuned.

Yes, a "chip" is just a generic tune.

It is very possible you got a bad chip, bad tune, or maybe a bad install.

Is it possible it just needs to he like Fine tuned?

if you really think its running rich get yourself a wideband, you should have one anyways if you got a tt...
