I bought an Energy Suspension complete urethane bushing kit. I have seen a couple of posts about how to do sub frame collars, etc., but does anyone have any info on how to do the whole car?

I am hopeful that this drastically changes the handling on this beast.

Well, as far as a detailed write up, I don't know where one is, but here's a quick run-through:

Jack car up
Place jack stands under pinch welds
Use jack to support subframe
Unbolt subframe
Lower enough to remove old/install new bushings
Raise back up with jack
Reinstall subframe
done.

Wow. Thanks so much.

You forgot to mention to change the blinker fluid.

You shouldn't really need a guide to replace bushings. If you want to be able to do them fairly easy you will need a press, torch and various hole saws. Some of the bushings will need to be burned/cut out like the subframe bushings.

Some like the control arm ones can be pressed out. Take a look at the bushings and you will see most are a rubber with a metal casing. The metal casing often gets siezed to whatever it's in. This necessitates burning/cutting the rubber out and cutting a slit in the metal so you can peel it and punch it out.

That's exactly what I did with the differential bushings. With the sub frame bushings, they actually looked really good, so I left them in, but installed some collars. My rear end slop is gone...much better.

Tomorrow is the complete front end for bushings. Fun fun fun.

I'm not going to even dignify that incredibly profound statement, Otto, with what I really think of your response.

He's just telling you as it is. You seriously need to pull the stick out and accept some help with a smile, not with a snyde comment and an ungrateful attitude. Here's a tech article I just found, enjoy your fish.

I suggest next time someone gives you help, a simple "thank you" will suffice, as opposed to smartassedness.

FWIW, you need to completely remove the subframe to do those bushings, IME.

Also, the tension rod bushings, and upright, control arms need presses to push them out, and in.

Steering rack bushings are straight forward.
