Thought id share my thoughts on the brake upgrade for the Titan brake issue. First thought...100% better brake feel. So if you havent gotten in line yet...Dont wait its worth it!

What we do is change the pads with a new pad made of a different material. looks to have more heat disipating ability, we have changed the way the back of the pad is in contact with the caliper, it is no longer bonded to the caliper and instead has the traditional shims with a vibration dampening compond spread between the pad and the shim. The shims are only done on the front the rear just gets the updated pads. Front rotors are repleced with updated thicker braking surfaces and thinner vent area. Although the rotors are not really needed as the pad upgrade is the actual fix. The rear rotors are mearly machined as thats all that is needed. Key factors in preventing this from reoccuring in the future is first the update is done following the procedure to the letter. Also a big one on the owners part is to be sure the wheels are being torqued to spec by hand not with an impact gun and torque stick. The torque stick has a 15% range it can be off. So hand torquing with a torque wrench is neccessary to get even accurate torque on the wheels. We are seeing reoccuring problems with trucks with after market oversize wheels. But nissan really feels that problem does not fall on them as they didnt design the vehicle to have those wheels on it.
