HelloWell there might already be a post about my question but i didn't find anything so please helpI upgraded my 07 2.5s altima's audio system to bose. i changed all the speaker and the main unit. when i turn it on i dont hear the sound clearly. its too low and it sounds like the speakers are blown. now i figured its because of the amplifier and i dont wanna do so many modifications to the car..wanna keep it simple... all i need to know is where is the amplifier located in the car so i can replace it with the bose one.

To my knowledge, there is no amp in the stock 2.5 stereo. I hate to say it as well, but if you spent money on upgrading to the bose stereo, you would've been better off buying aftermarket equipment to make everything sound much much better than the Bose.

Bose = buy other sound equipment!

The Bose amp is in the trunk. Since you don't have one, you'll need to buy a Bose amp, and then rerun all the wiring from the Bose head unit to the trunk, and then from the trunk to the speakers. It's a pretty massive undertaking. It would have been easier to go aftermarket from the start.

and where is the amp gonna get the main power from?? from the head unit?? how many wires goes to the head unit from the amp?

The Bose amp is nowhere near as simple as running a normal aftermarket amp. All the connections are proprietary.

So let me get this straight, you just have the speakers installed and not the head unit?

Either way, the wiring is insanely complicated. Yes, you'd have to run speaker wire from the trunk to the speaker in each door, as well as to all THREE speakers in the dash and to the rear speakers in the deck. Not to mention the completely new wiring harness that would run all of the cables to the trunk from the head unit. To do this, you'd have to feel pretty comfortable ripping the entire car apart. There is no write up or pics for this. The amount of work needed is generally reserved for people crazy enough (like me) to install systems breaking the multi-thousand dollar barrier.

If this will be your first amplifier install, don't bother. It would be easier to go aftermarket. You're going to spend far too much time and effort on not noticeably improving your setup. This would be like paying someone $100 to kick you in the nuts. There's just no reason to do it. I'm not trying to be mean, but it would take me FOREVER to walk you through this. For as little as you will gain, it's not worth my time (and it's certainly not worth yours). Once again, I'm honestly not trying to be mean, just giving you my honest opinion.

Applebonker is 100% correct, however for the sake of brevity, he didn't explain exactly why it would be so daunting...

for normal headunit--> amplifier--> speaker setups, it pretty simple. It is 1000% NOt siple for the Bose system. EVERYTHING AUDIO WISE is spidered into the bose amplifier through an EXTREMELY intricate wiring harness system that would be near impossible to duplicate. If you just wanted to connect the amp turn on wire and speaker wires, I guess it would be possible, but the biggest thing is the return. To be honest, the Bose system is really not that much better than the regular factory system IMO. I say definitely go aftermarket, or just keep your factory setup.
