I'm trading in my 1999 Q45t and want to buy a 2003 M45.I'm confused about the option packages that were offered back then. I've tried to reconstruct what was offered by Googeling old M45 reviews. Here's what I have so far.

I believe there were three different bundles. Comfort and Convenience (memory seats, electrochromatic mirrors, tire pressure monitor)Technology Package (Navigation system, Intelligent cruise control)Premium Package (Cooled seats, sunroof, voice recognition)

Questions

Is there a sequence or a dependency with these packages...e.g. You can't get the premium pacage without the Convenience Package? or the Premium Package includes all the features of the Technolgy Package?

Is there somewhere I can go to see a really comprehensive list of specs, features and options for the 2003 M45. Just like they list for the latest models on the Infinti web site?

Many thanks

i have premium package but not tech pack so no one does not include the other. I dont beleive that you need the convenience package to get the premium.

I have been wrong once or twice before and possibly could be wrong now, but I believe that all M45s came with the options you have listed as the Comfort and Convenience package. And I have not even heard of any without a sunroof.

Hello,Let's see. The Comfort and Convenience package was an option for 03' only. In 04', the Comfort & Convenience was made standard. While I have never seen an 03' or 04' without the sunroof, it is listed as a $1000.00 option. There are lots of 03-04's without the premium package. Even more without the tech package. The premium package is required to have the technology package. I believe this is because the Nav system incorporates the voice recognition stuff. In 04', I believe you could get the voice recognition and nav in one package without all of the other gizmos. I think this is right. I am including the 04' because they are just about identical give or take a 6 disc in dash changer.Cheers,Mark

Mine does not have a sunroof!

I did not get any of the packages, because I did not want them ... well, more accurately, I did not want to pay for them! Because mine was a basic car, I suspect it sat on the dealer lot a long time - no sunroof is a killer for most people, but not for me, since I never used the ones in my other Q45's anyway. Yeah, the resale value is probably lower, but since I planned to keep the car for a long time, that is not a big deal at all for me.

The lack of the other packages is fine by me (although I would have liked the Comfort and Convenience package stuff), because I paid very little money for my car - brand new. Less than the price of a new 2003 G35 Coupe, which is what I went in to buy as a replacement for my older Q45. I am much happier with my M45!

BTW, in general, just about all the 2003 M45 that had the Technology or the Premium package, also had the Comfort and Convenience package included. In theory, you could get just the Comfort and Convenience package on its own, but my understanding (not exact knowledge) is that only a few came that way. And, there were only a few basic models like mine sold too, I suspect.
