Never dealt with aftermarket alarms but i know most in-dash consuls have plastic covers. Window tint could also help. Just try and be careful where you park.

Just like a plastic cover that goes over the system. They usually come with one. As far as alarms go, not a clue.

well, ask yourself a question.. when is the last time you heard an alarm going off, and actually looked to see what was going on? Most people ignore car alarms going off!

The best thing would have been to get a pager alarm system. some of them are really good, and you can get them installed for like $199. the only downfall is that you have an additional remote, but wouldn't you actually like to know when someone is breaking into your car? there are a number of good ones out there.

Gotcha...I'm guessing you never go to the mall or anything like that then... honestly, I will never go back to a non-pager remote again! In the daytime, we are all sitting ducks, but if your car is within visual range at night, then I guess its cool! Good luck keeping that in dash... in your dash!

Hey Im new on this post and just had a question about the 2-way car alarms. When you got it installed did that have to reprogram the original keys or did the aftermarket alarm just go hand in hand with the original alarm?
