Good morning good people. Im so psyched about recently purchasing my 05 maxima. So much so, that i found this site, registered and now im seeking the help of the more experienced maxima title holders to instruct me as to what I should get to sort of "trick it out"..I don't want to do much. so in my research, I've come across a couple of things. 1 is an air intake filter from K&N. ? what is that? is this better to get than the stock one that I presuem is already in there? 2-the audio/navigation system in there? could I replace and possibly add a new one there or a maybe even a secondary unit at the bottom? this thing has a tape deck in there!!! who listens to tapes anymore? And lastly the lights? what kind of lights..I really like those those blue ones..and the amber ones.? So those are my thoughts. Im trusting you guys to help me out. I've never even had the money to do any of these things and now I do...! So your input is highly, appreciated..

Welcome to the 6th gen family!!! I have pretty much everything you mentioned above done to my car, check out the Car Domain link in my sig to see what I have done...

As for Intake, everybody that I know has been pretty happy with their Fujita intakes.

Do you have navi stock in the car? If not then you can find the HU I have (Pioneer D3) for really cheap these days, great mapping and even better IPOD integration...

As for lights, I have replaced every single bulb on may car, ask away!!!

Hope this helps!Jsmithsole

If you dont want to do the whole CAI you can just get a K&N or AEM dryflo filter which will definatly be an improvement over paper filters. If you want a stock K&N filter I have one sitting in a box I'll sell it to you cheap if you want its for a 2k2 but I think it's the same for an 05. Shoot me an e-mail if you're interested I'll sell it for $30 shipped (Retail $55). I only used it for like a month before I got my injen intake. My email is [email protected]. As for lighting go to PIAA for your bulbs they are the best looking I use them for all my 194 type and they look great in my clear coners and in the doors real bright white not yellow halogen looking.

Thanks, it's been a long process! I just added the top screen (and headrests) but you could just add a HU and leave the info screen up top. I just never like how the info screen looked up there, looks outdated IMO. It's pretty basic install, although I didn't install the HU itself (wiring mainly) I did do the screens etc...let me know specifics as to what you need.J
