Upgrad wheels for my I30

Hello all, just bought a 99' I30 with 14,872 miles on it ( also have a M30 for years and looking to get a Q if I can find the right one); This I30 has all the option on it except it is not a I30t. I am looking to replace the stock 15" wheels and tires with 17" ones but did not know what size for the tires nor the offset for the wheels. If anyone can help that will be great.

I dunno the exact specs on the wheel for the I30. But I have an I35 and I know all the wheels from the I30-I35 family fit each other. You may have better luck trying to find the I30t wheels or some wheels from an I35. For that matter, the 17" wheels from the Maximas fit perfectly as well.

All of those should be able to be had for a good price. I always see some on Ebay too.

John, Thanks for your reply! I have been looking on Ebay and been told by some one that the new G35 wheels will fit as well, I guess I will call dealer and have them check on that.

Glad to hear I could be of some help. I think I've heard that the G35 wheels will fit as well.

Something else popped up in my mind too though - the 17" wheels from the new Altima 3.5 SE's will fit your car as well.

The G35 wheel/tire combo is tall since it's 17" wheels and 55 profile tires, a little over 26" total diameter.

So if you get G35 wheels, you may need a different tire size.

Go to http://www.tirerack.com and try to keep the total diameter close the the stock I30 diameter.

Per their site, stock I30 size is 215/55/16 which is a little over 25" diameter.

Are you sure the current wheels are 15" ???

Yeah, Greg's right about the tire sizing.

A really good tool that I frequently use to compare stock tire & wheel combos vs. ones I dream in my head is the Miata.net Tire Size Calculator and Comparator.

It's pretty handy at calculating diameters and even speedometer error percentages.

225/60/15 tires on Q45 cause a 1.4% speedometer error (reads too fast).

If you are thinking about buying NEW infiniti or nissan rims from the dealership your in for a really big surprise, they are VERY VERY VERY expensive. Where do you live? I'm in the Bay Area and will be looking to move my 16" 97' Q45t wheels real soon and would make you a nice deal. This is a good size for your car and are original equipment Infiniti (these are like 300 bucks a wheel from infiniti).

Thanks you all for reply! Wife take the car in for checkup today and the parts dept. told her that the 99 I30 does not use stock 17" wheels and the 17" wheels for 2000' and up models cost around $2,400.00 dollars.

told you! They are UNREAL how much they get for them....check out the 16" wheels on a 97 Q45t, I will make you sweet deal on them and it will give you another inch of metal....where do you live???

They have tires on them right now, the tires are stock size 215 65 16 Bridgestone Potenza RE92 VR rated. They have a little less than 1/2 tread on them right now, but they wheels are very clean, see my car on the members rides area (Jeff Leeds 97 Q45). I can send you pictures of each of the four rims up close, no scratches or anything on any of them, I just wanted to get 17" on this big Q.

e-mail me directly and I'll send you pics this weekend if you're interested...also, where do you live is important since they would be expensive to ship, I live in the Bay Area and could get them to you in SF or the LA area.

Well, I live too far away from you and the tire turn out to be the wrong size anyway. But I will look at the pic of your Q and will E-mail you if I am insterested.
