Aluminum street sign is passable, but more of a dust and debris shield than a skidplate. You could put some rubber or pleather skirts on it, too, if you wanted. The 4x4 has a stock heavy duty steel skidplate, but mine got bashed all the way in after an accident involving the cement base of a mailbox.

Your rear fenders looked better when they weren't rolled, but I know you were trying out that other axle so you kind of had to do that.

Your coilovers are on a hell on an angle, how does that affect the progression rate? How much travel does the rear end have? Nice work, man!

thanks the skid plate is more for sh*ts and giggles than practicality

and yea i wish i didnt have to do that to the fenders but oh well.

and the rear is pretty firm id say about 2 inches of travel if i really mash a bump.

and thanks man

nicely done. i wish i had the money and the resources to do the same thing. i like your exhaust. 2.5in exhaust piping is perfect for a ka. i used to have a 3 in and i didnt think it sounded to good. i have 2.5 with no cat and its pretty loud and has a rasp to it.

looks good except for the rear fender.

I thought the shocks were supposed to mounted as vertical as possible? From the pic it looks like the upper shock mounts just have a tack at each end of the bracket. You might want to go in and add a little more gusseting and welding to make them more secure. The shock mounts take a lot of abuse, especially if you are going to keep autocrossing that thing. (that was you right?)

As always, love the truck.

and i got a few peoples opinions and was told the angle of the shock would add a progressive spring rate? it seems to ride really good, kinda feels like how my buddy's s13 w/ coilovers feels like.

next autocross may 16th =D

I figured it was just the angle of the dangle in that picture.

what kind of welder are you using. Just about ready to go pic up a Millermatic 211, which makes me happy in the pants
