so whats the advantage of having an intake manifold thats got many flat surfaces and sharp corners as opposed to one thats curvy and looks like most stock intake manifolds?

It's a lot easier and cheaper to make. That's it. Curvy ones provide added insurance that there are no "dead spots" in the manifold. Although it really isn't proven to have any significant gains in power over the curvy type, a lot of "race manifold are "curvy." Most DSMers (including my buddy for made 617 whp) use Magus manifolds which look very similar, so they do make power.

What does it say on top of the manifold? Are they available with no writing on them?

Thanks!

Bump.

Boostdesigns, could you please answer my question? I'm a potential customer, but I don't want any gay *** writing on my mani, especially if it says "STEED SPEED" (is that what it is?). I like the clean look.

Sorry this is an agreement that was made when we started developing these intakes not to say you can not buff it off or whatever you choose to do to them. we have started tesing them and have already made a few changes to the design to make it larger and a better design. thanks

Thanks for the reply.

I'd like to hear some reviews on them once some people have them installed, then I might just have to work on buffing off the letters.

Are you selling larger throttle bodies as well, or does it use the stock TB?

they come with stock TB setup but it can easily be modified to accept the q45 throttle body. there is plenty of space for it. thanks

r u going to be testing NA gains too?

or u think there wont be much on that part

because i would rather get things done that would do gains and then improve the gains after i turbo, especially while im in college no time to maintain a turbo engine a lot lol

Are you guys worried that the flange is too tiny and won't seal with the head causing boost leaks? I have read that his happens with the wasabi garage skyline manifolds. Most other aftermarket manifolds use a thinker flange. I am not bashing, just curious.

Thanks,

Noah
