Some of you on here might remember our project RB25DET Vert.

Well we started out like this with a faded out Red S-13. Installed our prepped RB25DET, wired it up with the Z32 ECU and got it running great. Did some good tuning on it (full ECU tuning capabilties)

The ECU tuning was done by Ash Powers http://www.ashspecz.com . Some of you might know him; Ash is an excellent Z32 tuner and is responsible for several high HP Z32s all across the country. Tuning the RB25DET with the Z32 is a cinch and runs great!

Well we had it painted and did a little body work. Got ride of the Vert doors and added some from a coupe. Installed some seat belts and hooked it all up. Also shaved a few emblems, antenna, tossed on a few new parts here and there..

Then we added some suspension parts. emblems, and the wheels from my old Z32 Turbo to give it its current look.

What does she look like with her top off?

Also did you use wheel spacers up front? Per say.... 25mm hubcentric spacers?

Awesome project! How flexible is the tuning ability with that z32 ECU? I'm interested in upgrading to a big turbo gt30r/gt35r, injectors, etc. on my stock RB25 and I don't want the hassle of a true standalone system. Nothing, I repeat NOTHING idles like the OEM ECU and I want to preserve the good drivability that I have with my current setup. Would a chipped z32 ECU be able to handle mods like this? I'm shooting for a reliable 400whp. Nothing stupid...

The OEM ECU handles things like a dream. You really only have to deal with 6 wires or so to be able to use the Z32 ECU. As far as tuning it? Well take a look over at http://www.ashspecz.com and do a quick little readup on the Zemulator. you are able to change just about every value within the stock ECU, all while also utilizing the stock safety settings like the Low Octane maps, and the high octane high gear/load maps.

There simply isnt a need to go standalone with many setups, its just that in the past no one really fleshed out the stock ecu and the settings so much.

Sure we had romeditor and the like, but nothing akin to Hondata. Which this is.

hit me up and we can talk more if you'd like, but for your setup i think it would work just nice and dandy :-)

Spacers? YES 15mm Hubcentric Spacers from http://www.wheel-adapter.net. We needed them to run the VR-4 Brake Rotors and the Z32 Calipers. Once we get a set of aftermarket wheels we can ditch the spacers.. or at least get some smaller ones.. I think we could get some 10mm spacers

Thanks for all the postive replies

Can't wait to hit the dyno soon.. car feels strong at 1.05 Bar.. but I know this t3/t04e turbo wants more juice! need some injectors!
