Okay, I'm looking now to buy a road worthy Z31 (87-89), still keeping an eye out for the other.

Jesda was so kind as to look at a Z31 turbo (97k, 5 spd) near him for me today. He test drove it and said it pulled like Wes' Q on a diet, so I take it the motor and transmission are in decent shape, but he said there was a shake on the highway. Actually, he said once he got over 60mph, it was, OMG I'm gonna die. He really felt it was speed related, not motor/RPM and only whne he went over 60.

Any ideas? Is there a common suspension piece that would create this?

Haven't run the VIN yet, no carfax freebies right now. In Jesda's opinion, it looked like original paint/interior, but in good shape.

Pics and vids available tonight when I get home.

IMHO, with what I know now, they want too muchy, but I was hoping to low ball them, if they still have it when I'm ready to buy. My target buying period is mid to late May.

Rack and pinion is a common needs-replacement on Z31's, , and it might also need an allignment / tire roration balance. My car has a slight shake that can be felt in the steering wheel, and it it due to the needing of a rear-allignment. Edit: The shake can only be felt on the highway above 55 MPH

could also be as simple and tires need balancing, up till 60 or so you don't really need them ballanced, of course it could also be a bent wheel that won't ballance

and if it turns out to be the rack, DO NOT PUT POWER STEERING FLUID IN THE NEW ONE, it amazes me how many poeple just assume it takes ps which is much liter than the required atf and gets the leaking started

looks fricken awesome! cept I'd have to strip those wheels and recoat them in something sloser to their origional gun metalesque finnish, looks like the battery bracket is missing easy enough to replace, the engine looks clean the inside looked good save for the pile of stuff, but that was a great looking body, gawd I needs another one.....might have to wipe off now
