Update - We're going to Daytona!

Just got off the phone with Rich Biscevic, owner of the NoHotWire / C&D / NICOclub 350Z...

Engine is now completely sorted and running amazingly. Bosch came through with an upgraded ECU that's allowing the cams to fully activate, and the car is making BIG power out of its otherwise "stock" 3.5 powerplant.

Driving in Daytona will be Car & Driver's very own Larry Webster, as well as Skip Barber Racing Instructor and suspension tuning guru Ken Dobson. If the car is in the Top 10 towards the scheduled driver change, Rich may give up his seat to Ken to allow for a faster finish.

Jung Motorsports provided the team with a fully-standalone ABS system - This thing is COOL! It's a plug-and-play unit, meaning it simply reads the individual wheel sensors, allowing a non-ABS car to have ABS instantly! All thew Challenge Porsche 997's use this system, and for approx $3500, it's a no-brainer.

SpeedTV will be covering the event, so look for the car on TV. In addition, it's equipped with TWO in-car cameras for some amazing in-race footage, which we'll be bringing you shortly.

We're still looking for additional sponsors for the team, so hopefully this weekend will prove profitable - Cheer on Rich and the team as they take the field at Daytona this Friday!

Dear NICOclub - I am so sorry I missed this thread last week. Jacob & I were at Daytona last weekend (we were guests of Bob & Linda Stallings - of the GAINSCO / Lowes #99 Daytona Prototype). We were surprised to walk into the KONI paddock and see the 350Z Car & Driver team there. If I had known, I would have tried to put something together. First, here are the only photos I have of them;

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the support. We had a great race. We were running at the back, but we know why. We're really down on horsepower for a number of reasons. Most of which will be rectified before the Lime Rock race. We had a blast, and the Car and Driver guys did too. When the article is coming out, I'll let everyone know. The 350Z ran just as well at the end of the stint as it did at the begining. This car is going to be a strong contender and I can't wait until we get the funding for a full blown motor program. If we get that, you'll see us running at the front.

ill be at the glen, thunderbolt, mosport, lime rock, and vir, hopefully i can get up to trois rivieres too
