My dealership said this TSB was recently updated (Feb '10) to cover the 2009s and 2010s.
You can see some of the details by:
going here: http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/TSB/TSB_xml/nmIndex.aspx
then clicking on Versa near the bottom
then clicking on brake system
then clicking on SB Cube and Versa; Rear Brake Squeal Noise
Basically it says to replace the rear brake shoes with a different part.
I was told by my local dealer that Nissan used a material that was meant to last a long time (70K miles or so) but the drawback was the noise. The replacement brake shoes are supposed to be quieter but not last as long. Before the TSB was updated, I had to keep bringing my car in at 7, 10 and 13 thousand miles to have the brakes cleaned. Now I'm getting new pads. Hopefully the squealing stops.
If this is a repost, I apologize. I did search. I'm not really familiar with the new setup yet.
