Wow that is one clean vert...all you need now is some white or black rims and a new rear and you are set. Nice front end conversion. Tell me what other exterior mods, interior and engine mods you did also.

Hey!!!

First of all, thank you all for the nice comments, It's really appreciated. I was never too sure about the Silvia front, but damn, once on the car, I knew there could be no other front on a convertible. She's still pretty much stock for the rest... lowered on Koni + Tanabe springs, new soft-top and the oval Silvia trunk lock.

Here's proof that she's really white (but i still suck at taking pictures):

Now, let's talk about the car:

1. The paint is really far from perfect. It's a 700$ paint job, and there is a lot of contaminants in the damn paint. Also, the passenger side sideskirt might have to be redone. The car badly needs a complete wetsand. To worsen things, the driver side fender is too close to the door and when I opened it, I messed up the paint on the edge of the door and the fender. Furtermore, that stupid fender kinked a but...

2. Now on to the front end... I bought it used, so was the bumper. Fitment is bad. The bumper was cracked and it's a bit warped. Hood, fenders and bumper badly need adjustments. I also have burnt light bulbs, chipped corner lamps and I have not started the wiring for it. I might buy new corners, halogen headlights during the winter. Also, I want another front grill, but not the GT-R style one...

Hey, you get what you paid for... The vert was 1400$. The Silvia front and skirts was 500$CDN and the paintjob was 700$CDN. All in all, I know I won't have a perfect car but it will last a few years.

Now for the future, I have so many things I want to do but I need to stay focused.

1. I need to restore the interior which is sadly in very bad shape. This means new seats, carpet and trim restore. I am still debating the roll-bar.

2. Rear valences. I need rear valences, oem style, nothing more. I need them to complete the look. Add some Silvia badges and I'll be wild!

3. Wheels. I need wheels, but not anything. I want to go 5-lug on this one, so I can trade wheels with my GF's Supra. Currently, my first choice would be a 17 inch 8 or 8.5 all around Work VS-XX, gold face.

4. Powertrain. VQ35DE is my preferred choice, but I'm not too sure still. We'll see in time, as I don't want to do everything right now. Let's do it, one step at the time...

So thanks all and keep the good feedback coming.

really nice. I love the look of a 'vert with a silvia conversion.

What front bumper is that?? I want it!

You definitely need wheels. But other than that... very nice.

And to be honest... I like the way those night pics turned out.. the lighting on the tops of the buildings in the back is really cool.

The bumper... I dunno. Isn't that the Vertex ripoff type? I got it with the conversion and am not complaining.

Wheels... I have some 16" Advan SA3R (Red lip, black face) and 17" Rota D2 (black face) on my other 4 lug 240sx... I do want to get something for her, but not now... as I may go 5 lug for better choice.

yea she looks nice. not a real big fan of verts with the conversion, but it looks good on this car for some reason. my question was why didn't you put on a rear before you got it painted? you going to keep it a stock rear?

i'm looking at rear valences like these:

As for the "kit", it's a Vertex style front bumper with JDM Chuki (OEM) Sideskirts.

Well... I don't think these will look right on your car. Your front bumper and side skirts are bit bigger and wilder than OEM rear valences. Actually, the best way to go would be S13 Silvia Aero with Aero front bumper, side skirts and rear valences. Just like this car, but on a vert. I know it's expensive, but I would suggest you take your time and do it right.

Dude, the sideskirts are the OEM Silvia Aero sideskirts...So putting the rear pieces on will come up exactly to the pics you showed, minus the front bumper.

So I don't see how it won't look right. I personnally really don't like the aftermarket rear bumpers offered for the S13 Coupe, that is why I prefer the rear valences.

Furthermore, might I add that there is no such thing as "right" when we're talking about Aero? I personnally loathe a lot of the kits people rock on their verts, but it's ok, because THEY like it. It makes it right to them.

Oh!! Sorry. My bad. Yes, those are OEM side skirts. Believe it or not, I have S13 Silvia OEM side skirts and rear valences. Side skirts were fairly easy to find, but man... Those rear valences were extremely hard to find. I was looking for them in mint condition though. I spent about 1 year to locate both skirts and valences in mint condition with no cracks or chips. Strangely, both pairs came in from Hong Kong, not from Japan. Yeah, be patient and get OEM valences. You will love them since they fit like glove. I bought fiberglass ones and tried, but fitment was like crap. You need serious modification, so don't even go there. Good luck!

Really? I know someone in Canada that made nice replicas of the Veilside front lip that does the rear valences too... I guess I am going to have to wait a little to get the oem then.

If you know a good body shop, they can do a good job with fiberglass rear valences, but lots of sanding and grinding is required. OEM ones... Just paint and install. That's it. You have to make one screw hole each side on the rear bumper BTW.

Your car looks good man. nice clean install.I am not a fan of the silvia converstion though on any 240 ,for ME it too closly resembles to stanza. I however am not a bit fan of the pop-ups either. So the silvia front clip is a viable alternative and your work looks really good.
