Just wanted to send an update while I have free couple of minutes in my recently hectic schedule...

Seems my original thread is locked:zer...age=1

Thanks for everyone's input. I went with a color-keyed black on my black coupe.

Yeah they do blend in a fair bit; that was sorta the point. But gold..... no way! Definitely didn't want the "oh yeah, you WISH they were Brembo!"-comments. If I went with a non-matching color I prolly would have just done red.

Got the rotors from some outfit out of CA; wish I could recall the name. Pretty good outfit from what I recall. Had a little bit of a hard time finding them since I got them shortly after getting the car. A lot of places I called were like "huh? That's a new car.... we don't usually get asked for parts on a NEW car". So far though, I've been happy wid 'em.

True on the gold brembo comment! Are the rotors any better than stock? How much did you pay for 'em?

I might hold off....I'm thinking of getting the new 08 coupe brakes.

Better than stock? Boy isn't that the question of the day!Hmmm.... well, stock didn't have the tendancy to rust quite as quick; if the brakes are warm and after a wash they lightly rust pretty quick. These definitely seemed to be of decent quality though so I'm confused by this reaction. Suppose though some might suggest there is no way to tell how well they were constructed without throwing them under a microscope.

I've only tracked my car once and that was with the stock rotors and let me tell you.... I had some serious heat issues between sessions. The cross drilled was to help mitigate this. Just haven't been back on the track since so I can't really compare the before/after. But on the street with some hard braking I have not noticed any heat or fade to speak of (but it really is apples-n-oranges).

I think they were around $250ish with another $50 or so for shipping. Tell you what Joe, give me a day or two and I'll look in my records and can relay the source and exact price to you.

But yeah, the '08s would probably be better. And yes, I DO wish mine were Brembos!

The invisible calipers don't look that bad...I kinda like it! I am not a big fan of red on the stock calipers, but I suppose it is because I have yet to see someone do a decent job painting them.

I <3 my Brembos!

Very clean... I like that they blend in. I'm just about ready to do my brakes, and have been thinking about aftermarket rotors and pads... my biggest question is whether they will last longer or not.

Sorry... looked but don't have any records RE: where I got the rotors.
