Well,

I recently purchased the spring kit from Tanabe, so I will install those and have pics up by tomorrow night...

At this bar in downtown Athens (right near ATL), I met up with a couple of my cohorts in Advertising, when I heard a guy around here talking about how he wanted to build a kit car... I've built one before, so I stirred up some conversation... turns out I was talking to a guy who does Marketing/Advertising/PR work for Nissan in the Southeast and he was at UGA because he knew a couple of the professors. Naturally, I asked him if he knew about any parts for the US model, and all he wanted to tell me at first was that they were coming out with a "sports edition" of a "newer" vehicle...

Well, naturally this got me excited, mostly because I'm in Advertising and wanted a good reference, so I kept conversation going.

Needless to say, he told me that several companies are starting HID projector projects for the Versa and that they were using the kit from the Tiida to work from, so I asked him if it was so different that you couldn't custom fit the brackets. He didn't answer my question completely, but he did tell me that I might want to try...

So I am.

That, and custom installing a body kit I designed (I'll see if i can get a good pic of the sketches). The kicker is that the car will still appear mostly stock! I don't want a "ricer" - BUT the body kit is in the works and may not happen...

I'll take some photos in the process of it all...

I know of no companies working on actual mass producing HID headlights, plus there are great projectors already made it is just a matter of fabing mounts for them. I have porsche projectors AND fx35 projectors in my car and hopefully if I get another Versa I will put LS430 projectors in it which are the brightest and the widest projectors produced so far
