well we got the head off. turns out the head gasket was blown to hell. looked like a mouse got a hold of it.. then we jiggled the pistons around.. they wiggle as if there are no rings.. but i wanted to confirm this with you guys first.. i have 3 sr buddies.. 2 said that theyre wiggling because the rings are ate up. the 1 says its wiggling because its not under compression.. just wanted to confirm this. if my rings are ate up.. im either going to send my motor back (under warranty) and get RB20DET.. or my money back seeins how theres no CA's in stock.

then you should be fine, a ring failure is usually accompanied by interesting quaint BRUTAL MERCILESS GOUGING OF YOUR CYLINDERS MUHAHAHA!

Uh , sorry bout that.now when you say "wiggle", you mean they move with effort just a very little bit right, they don't bang back and forth do they?

then you should be fine. If you have a clean crosshatch pattern on the cylinder walls and the rings are not jammed up with carbon you should be good to go.
