Update on Remote Starter with intelligent key?

HiI just purchased a 2008 Infiniti M35x and would like to know if anyone has had success installing a remote starter for this car... or cars with similar systems? If so, what are the disadvantages or features lost?

I live in a pretty remote place so am not too worried about security.

I've seen it done. Only thing you have to maske sure either your dealer to install it or reputable shop. The reason is simple. You don't want any trouble after the installation. We had a guy here with a little shop installed it for him and all he had just electrical issues. But if a reputable shop doing it for you you should be fine.

Personally I had on my last 3 cars and loved it on winter times. I also installed it on my wifes last 2 cars. I opted not todo it with the G. 2 reasons. the car is in my garage all the time and if I am at work it is like 10 steps away from my office.

my dealer wont do it ... says it affects the warranty? is this true?

i will look for a shop.... but thought it might be tricky because of the keyless stuff.

It won't void your warranty but if you have problem what maybe caused by the installation of the remote starer. Well you can be in a trouble.

That's why you need a good shop. There should be no problem to install it. When I took my wifes car in for installing one in her car asked the guy and he said no problem to put one in my G but it was much more priceier than my wifes car.

Make sure you find a good shop. That is the main key. You don't want any electrical trouble. It would be a night mare. Ask around people and friends where they installed theirs and if they had any problems.
