So, I've gotten the engine in, hook up the harness, put in the welded diff. made sure everything was A-OK. I re-soldered the wires that were just twisted together and covered with painters tape also. Monday night. we have the car on jackstands, we believe we just need to wire the fuel pump and she's going to start.get to my friend's driveway tuesday, car is gone. Yup, towed by code enforcement apparently you can't keep a car in one spot on a privately owned driveway in this country. News to me!

so, ~ $200 later, I have my car parked inside the garage now. (it was full of stuff before) hooked the fuel pump straight to power, still no start.

Checked spark, no spark.Checked to see if injectors drop voltage, they only drop 2 volts for a total of 10V while cranking.Checked the ECU for codes....It's not throwing any!!!! so, back to more testing to make sure it's the ECU and not the harness.

Threw the ECU (not literally) into another SR swapped 240 with the same results. That DAMF is fried.

Yup. Something's wrong. The power circuit in the ECU burnt. so we re-soldered a wire in there. Double checked it, threw it in, Car starts and runs. Go to turn it off, won't turn off. keys are out of ignition, double check turbo timer, it's still set to 0 seconds, so no idling after shut off. Turn key back to on, then off again, still running. so I put her in second and stall her.go to start her again, no bueno. Once again, no fuel, no spark. ECU LED just stays red once key is on, no flashing.

So, I think something is shorted in the harness, my friend thinks something in the ignition ckt is getting constant power, overloading the ECU. I'm about ready to buy another ECU and harness and call it a day, because I think this current one is a hackjob. Either that or some bad splices were made.

Anyone ran into this problem? I haven't found anything searching the forums.

It was the mass air flow. The wiring shorted together so the Ecu blew. Had to put in a new ecu since I had fixed the other one and it was royally screwed after that second install.

Got the car running, everything is all fine and dandy except for this damn oil leak.it's leaking from the stock banjo line. (There was a stainless steel line that got ganked) There's a -4AN in the block I have now, and the T28 has a different thread type. the line I have is some crazy half hard line half braided custom fabrication.

The problem is the hard line isn't seating all the way in and is wiggling inside the fitting, and I'm losing oil FAST. when I run it that is. which isn't often. Still haven't driven this thing yet! any tips or tricks on getting it to seat right?

Ahh man, I remember this SR. those were the days aye? The Wastegate on the ebay turbo was sticking open so I wouldn't get any boost and the car was slow as balls lol. Oh man. But, it was a solid engine. My current SR is now going through those electrical gremlins I need to sort out. People can't leave well enough alone huh?
