ok well i have finally decided what i wanna do and found the guy to do it.

I have decided to rebuild my current motor and and will be adding some internal goodies during the build to prepare for some hefty hp in the upcoming months.

There is a local guy that is practically a guru for the Z32 owners of nor cal who has already done tons of builds and swaps and has been recommended to me by Nissan advisors at a local dealer and other Z owners of nor cal through a local forum/club.

My fuel injectors are starting to give out so i will be upgrading to the 555cc injectors and will be getting a Z1 chip to accomodate the injectors.

My clutch will also need to be replaced but im not sure what i wanna go with yet.

Thankfully these things gave out at the right time so i can do it all during the build.

My car will be going away for 4 to 6 weeks

Just wondering if any of u guys had ne input on little things i should decide to upgrade or replace while im doing the build.

If the head will be off it, then have the flashing removed from the coolant channels. anything related to maintenance such as timing belts (go for one of the high-mileage belts), water pump, oil pump if necessary, plugs, thermostat, etc.

If you're going to do the clutch, you might as well do the flywheel and the rear main seal while you're in there (or atleast have the old one machined if its in moderatly good shape). All the things that are easier to change while the parts are already accessible or while the motor is out of the car are good to change due to the decreased/negligent additional labour costs -- especially if you're going to be submitting them to extra stress.

Sounds awesome, glad to hear you are taking care of your Z.

You might as well upgrade your turbos while you have the motor out.

^ thats what i was thinking .

but how much time do u think i can go on my current turbos?

I havent really searched much for info on upgraded turbos.Im lookin to make about 550hp on the motor.Who is the leading brand in turbos?

ok well now im lookin at the JWT 500 BB or the JWT 530 BB

500 at the wheels is enough for me. Im not lookin to go anywhere higher than that.

If you take care of your Z, you probably have another good 40k-60k miles left on your turbos. But you have to pull the motor to replace the turbos anyways, so you might as well do it while the motor is out.
