I ship for BCT (Basic Combat Training) at Fort Leonard Wood, MO in 45 days. January 21st I'll graduate BCT, than head to OCS (Officer Candidate School) at Fort Benning, GA. I'll be commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant April 20th (assuming no injuries). Then it'll be off to branch school (varies depending on if I get Infantry, Armor, or MPs like I'm hoping).
Our beautiful baby girl Olivia was born 20100127. I hadn't realized parenthood would be so awesome. She's a blessing - never fusses, is always happy.

"Whatchu talkin' bout Willis?"

Olivia being trained in on 911 Dispatching by one of dad's coworkers. Yes, I know the coworker is hot.

Unfortunately, it's not all good news. A few months ago Hillary went into the ER with severe abdominal pains. We were in the ER at about 10:00 p.m., and two of our friends that are Mankato cops were in the ER with an eval. She went into surgery at midnight for an ectopic pregnancy, and by 12:15 two of our other friends (also Mankato cops that were working) were in the waiting room with me. I will hate leaving behind friends like these. The Thin Blue Line certainly exists.
The surgery went well, but she lost one of her fallopian tubes - it had been blown into bits, and there was over 1.5 pints of blood sloshing around her midsection. She recovered quickly, and it as back to normal now.
All in all, things are great here. We were disappointed we weren't able to make it to Neal's BBQ, but hope to start making some of the events now that I'll have more vacation time\expendable income.
