We caught up with the TEAM HLM / NICOclub G35GT at VIR, undergoing final testing for the 2007 season before its debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
The Team HLM / NICOclub G35 ran just one second off last year's record pace at VIR, which means the car is well-sorted...
There were a couple issue with insufficient dampener softness, but new parts have been ordered to remedy this. Also, due to the extreme cold, tire temps remained under 180 degrees, which means there was still a LOT of speed available. The Menard's-prepped VK45DE was screaming, and felt ready to rock.
Driver positions have been sorted, with Bryan Sellers and Joey Hand piloting the G35, and a surprise European driver rounding out the team.
We'll have coverage and updates right up to the start of Daytona and as the race progresses, so check in often!
