Son I've had my 1990 300zx N/A about a month an a half now an so far everything as been good, other than the temp creeping up towards hot twice both were in traffic on a hot day with the ac on, somewhat understandable replaced the cap and haven't had anymore of that non sence , new pcvs and hoses(that is a ridiculous spot for them), 2 oil chances royal purple API 10w40 (it was ambient temp above 80)'and now since its much cooler I changed to royal hps with synerlec 10w30 whereas I'd around 60-85 depending on the week. Hah, an now I've added a colder air intake to it, an it sounds amazing and pulls much harder..

But even before the intake mods and pcv replacements, when the car is at idle with the air off. I hear what sounds like glugging from the passenger side of the car. There's no wet spots on the floor or under the car

That would be either the AIV or hater core. Chances are the AIV is shot, and will make a glug sound when they go bad. They can be removed with no problems.

If they are gone then the heater core needs to be flushed, honestly, I would flush it anyway.

Check the online service manual in the everything you need to know about the Z32 sticky, and you will be on your way.
RoboZ also has a good writeup on AIV removal IIRC, as does the TT.net site.
Good Luck!

The AIV runs under the car as well too right?? Cause when i was under it yesterday (did an alignment) I noticed the pipes that ran back to the back Cat or resonator. Look like it could be either I noticed a back rubber hose pulled it off an nothing was in the pipe no moisture or anything. I that hose part of the aiv system??

Also noticed one of the power steering hoses (metal banjo fitting) was leaking.. Are our lady's a pain to maneuver without the convince of power steering??
