Anyone heard rumors of an upcoming QX4?

Perhaps most surprising is the revival of the company’s QX SUV nameplate in a smaller package. The QX4 went out of production in late 2002, but Capps says the SUV will be brought back to give the brand a more mainstream alternative to its EX and FX SUVs. “You could call it a car that will appeal to the soccer moms,” he told Automotive News. “So it’s going to have to have something that’s got some size, some style and some luxury. The people in that segment are looking for utility.” Capps sees the new-age QX4 going toe-to-toe with Lexus‘ RX, although it remains to be seen if the new model will be called the QX4.

I would love to see a new QX4! The only thing that concerns me is they're saying it's something that will appeal to soccer moms . I hope they're wrong.

I like the fact that some of my favorite cars are returning to production (i.e: chevy caprice)...cant wait to see pics !

that would be awesome! but i doubt it would be anything like ours. it will probably just be a revised smaller pathfinder...the newer ones. which are alright too.

The caprice has been canned. a few days after it was announced too. They were just going to badge the G8 as the caprice but no go now. They should just make it the impala. The g8 is so nice though. I wish it could stay a pontiac

Its probably going to be like the MB GLK, or maybe a non-extended Escalade.

If Infiniti comes out with another QX4 based off the Pathfinder, I might be tempted to get a new truck. Otherwise I'm going to try and stretch the life of my QX4 out till at least 2015. I'm almost finished paying it off and it'd take a lot to put me back into making car payments for another 5 years. My QX4 is holding up awesome. 9 years old and it still runs like it's new. Not to mention that there aren't any SUVs on the market that are anything to be excited about. Especially Infiniti. The QX56 is as big as a bus and the crossovers don't have real 4WD. Not to mention they all look like they were designed for women and sissies. I hope this new QX4 is not yet another soccer mom SUV.
