Upcoming changes to our community (please read)

June will definitely be an exciting month for us here at the Versa forums, with a lot going on behind the scenes and also some visible changes.

First, I would like to thank Proxim2020 for his service as a moderator. He will not be around as much performing mod duties, due to circumstances in his personal life (positive ones, I assure you). He was one of our forums original members, and has also served us as a mod for the past few months.

Second, I would like to congratulate CodeRed on his upcoming promotion to moderator. With the growing size of our communty, we felt that we needed to make sure there were no holes caused by Proxim's step back. CodeRed has proven his desire to work for the advancement of our community both through his write-ups of mods, but also behind the scenes. He will be helping to refresh the NissanVersa.org portal over the next couple of months, in addition to regular moderator duties on the board. (His actual promotion will take effect sometime over the next week or so, I'm not exactly sure when).

Now, with the behind the scenes stuff addressed, let's take a look at some of the projects on the plate for the summer.

As many of you have noticed, we've started nominations for Ride of the Quarter. Each quarter, there will be a new member Versa featured on our portal page, much the way the Ride of the Month is displayed on the main nicoclub.com page. In addition to the honor of Ride of the Quarter on our own portal, the winner every quarter will be nominated by the Versa forum moderators for Ride of the Month for the whole NICO club!

We will continue taking nominations through June 14th, and starting June 15th we will start an official voting thread. The winner will be announced July 1st and their page will go up shortly after that (if all goes smoothly, of course).

In addition, we are looking into the feasibility of adding a gallery page to our portal, where every member can post their favorite pictures of their car. This will be limited to 8 pictures per member, but will be hosted at our site, not a 3rd party (no hunting and searching!)

Finally, there will be restructuring of the FAQs pages on the portal as well as the stickies in this forum. You will see a dropoff in the number of stickies here, and the best information will migrate to new FAQs and article pages on the portal. We will retain a sticky with links to these sections, for those who are new or like quick references.

I'd like to pop in and thank EV, CodeRed, Kimber, Clipsed, versaspeed.com, M2, proxim, and ALL the other Versa forum folks for making NissanVersa.org the #1 destination for Versa owners on the web.

The information being passed along in here is astounding, and it just goes to show what can happen if people are given a place to be creative and a common goal - Keep up the great work!

no thank you AZ, I was curious about 10 minutes ago and googled Nissan Versa Forum, and it was basically all Nico, found some other POS forum, wow that forum was crap, and some other semi wannabe forum. It also popped up AZhitman.com, I didn't realize you had your own site! haha

congrats codered, this place hasn't only helped me a lot, I've learned a lot. theres a lot of great info and great people on here. this is probably the most viewed web site on my computer always getting on here to see what everyone is up to and new projects going on. I love it here, the Versa community is the ****.
