Hey all, first let me introduce myself, I'm with Grassroots Motorsports Magazine, and I wanted to give you a headsup about a pretty massive article we've got coming in the next issue of Grassroots Motorsports (December) covering the 240SX.

It's a profile, covering its history, common helpful modifications, racing and of course drift competition. Don't worry about this being a one-post advertisement, our editor David has been surfing the site of late (and did some research here for the article) and suggested that I pop on and say hi. One of my many hats here at GRM is handling club stuff, so if you've got a club event coming up, please drop me a line so we can try to fit it in the events calendar, my email is [email protected] or you can look me up at http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com and I plan on dropping in from time to time so we've got our finger on the pulse of the 240SX community, and Nissans in general. Gotta get back to work on an article about the 350Z...

Ok. So if I fill in that form for the free issue, you'll send me the one for December, and not November? ...or should I wait a few more weeks?

BTW your link doesn't work, you might want to take out that comma.

Ahemm.. WELCOME TO NICO! ;)

heh, thanks for the headsup about the comma...doh!

If you go for a freebie sub now, it SHOULD be december. The November 2nd mailings have already gone out, if I'm not mistaken...I'll double check on that tomorrow.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

if you want to get the low-down on local East coast drifting contact the guys at http://www.dgtrials.com , they hold alot of major drift events in NJ with participants from PA, NY, DE, NJ, MD etc....

Please dont assume that all (240sx) drifters use the ever popular SR20DET, alot of the drifters i know invest in suspension, tires, and fixing what breaks more than anything else (and use the stock KA24DE with minimal mods).

It is going to be a awsome article if GRM is the magazine, i cant wait to see it.

Where can I get GRM? I've looked in Barnes and Noble, Borders, Wal-Mart, Kroger etc. and never seen it.

Grassroots mag is an awesome publication......

It has great artticles for those who just dont like to go fast in a straight line, and like a little LEGAL compotition.

Aside from the ocational SCCA butt kissing, the mag is close to perfect.

I pick it up at Barnes and Noble occationaly.....but Ill sure Ill subscribe.

I really like GRM best out of all the car publications out right now. Definitly tops in content and quality.

Like J-Spec said, for East Coast (NJ to be exact) drifting take a peek at http://www.dgtrials.com. They'll be having their last two drift events, for the season, in October and November.

I'll be subscribing soon (finally got a job down at college), and will definitly look out for the December issue. Quick question, are their any blanket vendors of your magazine? There was only one place up by me that used to carry it, and I simply can't find it anywhere down here at school.

yeah I really like GRM too... I just hate how it takes forever to get a new issue out-- 8 issues in a year??? comeon guys!

Its still pretty nice to finally have a good publication write about our car though. I'll look forward to the issue!

Thanks to the current subscribers for your comments! We love feedback, especially positive feedback ;)

And J-Spec, don't worry about an overdose of SR20DET content, unlike some other magazines we try to keep a budget in mind, our idea of fun is beating the guy in the $80,000 car with a $2003 car (check out some of the 11 second cars that were built for our $2003 challenge, there should be even more fun stuff at the $2004 challenge). Our fanciest project car right now (aside from Tim's Rotary Spitfire) is a 1996 M3 that we got for less than 10 grand...

As for finding the magazine, unfortunately, as the little guy (still proudly independant) our distribution isn't as all-encompasing as most other magazines...your best bet is places like Barnes & Noble, Borders and the like, but they tend to sell out. So your real best bet (and the cheapest way to go) is just to subscribe.

Good to see you're not gonna go overboard w/ the SR. There are plenty of people here having great results with turbo KAs.
