What do you guys think I should do first as a performance mod? up the boost to around 10 psi or get a megan manifold/turbo extension/fmic?

i understand the logical choice would be to get better breathing before more power but is upping the boost 3 psi a better decision in terms of cost-effectiveness?

basically what it comes down to is what would be more fun to drive? the quick and easy - up the boost solution or work on my engines breathing?

hope you have a fuel pump before boosting more

a cheap mbc can go for $15(the home made ball bearing one) or like $80 for an el cheapo one

err...forgot to mention i have a walbro 255. mofo's insanely loud inside my gutted car...

what would be the power gains of upping the boost with the stock sidemount in comparison to those with the aid of a front mount?

dont go past 10 on a sidemount or u'll get alot of hot air into the engine and detonation. unless u like those sort of things

i would think 10psi on smic would be close to that of 10psi with a fmic

i had to take the fmic off my car recently, and put the smic back on(dont ask), and at 10psi it spools so damn fast, cause theres so much less volume.but ,i definitly would not go past 10psi.

there any way to rig up a small topmount or 2 sidemounts or something to get better boost response? or is fmic/topmount the only ways to go?

yeah this is because there is so much less space to pressurize in the distance between the turbo and the intake mani.

makes sense

IIRC most FMIC have a slight pressure drop anyhow
