up stepping from 195/60/r15 on stock 92 240sx rims?

I want a wider tire but not too big enough to cause problems.. thinking 205 55 r15 but has anyone done it or know a better size..? bout to buy tires soon so just want some info..

205's will be fine - that's what the SE versions have w/ the same size rims. You won't want to go much wider than that on a stock rim.

The only thing will be your speedometer will be off by like 1-2% or so (it's probably already off from being about 16 years old).

Lookswise, you won't notice any real difference.

If you are looking for a handling difference, consider going better compound as opposed to wider compound.

The previous owner of my s14 had 215's on my se wheels... Looked fat and gross. Like they were always low or something.

And the speedo's gotta be way off... It says 65 but I pass other cars like i'm doing 70+...
