Ok, so I have a new HG, ARP Studs, Reman. Head, and Rebuilt Bottom.

Started up, still pulls, no burning oil.

There is a weird ticking noise that I am still trying to figure out that comes from the rear of the engine.

And when I hand turn my engine by hand it sounds as if air is leaking through the front somewhere... that doesn't seem normal.

BUT! My main dilemma is my 95psi all the way across. Mind you, I did do the compression test after warming up the car.

Aside from the ticking and leaking, why is my compression 95psi across? Timing issue?

Also, could someone post a picture of their cams, chain, and sprockets at the TDC position?

did you do a wet test to see if it changed the results?

edit: how long ago was it rebuilt? did you just get it together? have your rings seated properly?

The compression tester was tight right?

I think my oil lines are clogged. After I stopped my engine, I heard a weird squirting noise. So I pulled out my spark plugs and shined a flashlight down and saw oil and particles in my 2 and 4 cylinders. I am guessing too much pressure built up and blew past the HG when everything cooled down. I have to further diagnose it.

if its a new motor its going to be a little while till the rings seat, the whole oil burning thing is pretty normal on new engines. As far as compression is concerned, every tester is different, on my old KA it read 139psi across and another tester it read 186psi across. the number doesnt matter so much as long as the numbers are close to each other. I would give it at least 1,000 miles before u see a decent increase in compression. If it runs good and pulls hard i wouldnt be too worried.

My car is running fine now BTW. First off the compression tester I rented was complete junk. Turns out that the fluid in my cylinders was just unburned fuel. My cam lifter buckets were not matched properly to the cams I was using on my remanufactured head. Guessing they ground them down but didn't reshim. Thus creating a loud tapping noise. So, I just swapped out my old cams and bucket lifters on my old head and problem fixed.
