hey everyone my blacktop has been acting very unusual lately. basically i can't take my car on the freeway because of the problem. After driving for about 5 miles while cruising at roughly over 60 mph my car suddenly starts decellerating (even if i push the gas pedal to the floor - i have no control over this) so basically i'm forced to come to a stop. Once my car is stopped after this has happened i can't rev past 2000 rpm - it's as if i hit a rev limiter....if i try to drive off in any gear the car will buck and jolt the moment i hit 2000 rpm. so i have to turn of my car and turn it back on again. usually after that the engine will start revving itself to about 2200 rpm by itself consistently about every 2 seconds - sometimes it does this upwards of a few minutes...

folks i'm totally lost, been thinking it might be the tps, maybe the maf? i tried messing with the idle but it didn't really do much at all....any help would be appreciated...

MAFS issue for sure. Start checking your wiring and the sensor itself. Do you have an AFC attached by any chance? If so, pull it from the mafs signal wire but watch the other sensors.

nope don't have an afc but i definitely agree it seems like a maf issue...i have another maf from a 92 ka24de i assume it won't work with a 98 blacktop...
